IIBEC 3rd Annual Diversity and Inclusion Building Sciences Forum

The Southern Ontario Chapter of IIBEC is hosting its 3rd Annual Diversity and Inclusion Building Sciences Forum to bring awareness to this sector. This event will consist of a half-day Forum that will provide some resources to help everyone from diverse backgrounds be more empowered and build self-efficacy, at the same time that we are building a sense of community and promoting our industry.
- Any professional or leader in the Building Enclosure Sector is welcome to attend, as well as contribute by supporting the next generation of talent.
- All students are welcome to gain insight on an exciting career in Building Sciences.
THE FORUM
This event will consist of a panel of experts, describing their challenges, experiences, and career paths. It will also have breakout sessions for everyone to engage in small groups with the experts. Attending this forum will allow you to meet different professionals in the Building Sciences sector who share diverse backgrounds and experiences. Also, we will be giving away one or two bursaries to eligible students who are studying Building Sciences.
Ms. Peevey is a building enclosure engineer with over 24 years of experience in the new design, investigation/evaluation, and restoration of building enclosure systems. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered professional engineer. A majority of her career has been performing forensic investigations and developing new designs, as well as providing expert litigation support for below-grade and plaza waterproofing, cladding, fenestration, and roofing systems. Ms. Peevey is a seasoned presenter and published member of several technical trade associations and active contributor to the building envelope community. Ms. Peevey has spoken on multiple occasions at IIBEC Convention and Trade Show and/or Building Envelope Symposium (BES), as well as SWR Institute, AIA, BEC, and CSI. She currently serves as the President of IIBEC on the Executive Committee.
Must apply by Friday January 19th.

Cancellation Policy
Should IIBEC Southern Ontario Chapter cancel the forum, we will notify you before January 24th and a full refund will be issued.
